The Xtension 9 Evolution chassis is crafted from premium ultra-dense MDF, providing high mass and a non-resonant design. Its unique magnetic feet separate the main plinth from the base, effectively isolating the substantial 16kg turntable from external vibrations. This results in a blend of the ‘mass-loaded’ principle with a ‘floating turntable’ design. Instead of using a pure metal platter, we chose an ideal aluminum alloy, dampened with thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). Additionally, we adhered recycled vinyl records to the top (which serve as a perfect mat) and baked this ‘sandwich’ before precisely balancing it. The result is a beautifully resonance-free, heavy platter that runs ultra-quietly on an inverted ceramic bearing (ball and plate) with magnetic suspension. This reduces the effective platter mass, making it appear to ‘float’ on the bearing with minimal rumble. The Xtension 9 Evolution features quartz-generated high-precision electronic speed control (Speed Box) with microprocessor management. It produces perfectly clean AC power, which is fed directly into a built-in synchronous motor. By isolating from mains interference, the quartz regulation and specialized filter circuit ensure superior speed stability, leading to smoother motor performance and noticeable sound quality improvement. Additionally, the speed change between 33 and 45 can be electronically controlled for added convenience.

With its superlative magnetic feet, this heavy turntable literally floats over the surface. These powerful magnets effectively decouple the turntable from its below base.

The precision DC-driven AC generator powers the motor for enhanced speed stability. Easily change speeds with the push of a button.

Magnetic main bearing

To ensure stable speeds a proper platter bearing is needed. The Xtension 9 Evolution uses a special technology. The heavyweight platter spins on an inverted ceramic ball bearing with a magnetic support to reduce bearing noise and resonance to an absolute minimum. Which this solution we are able to relieve the main bearing and ensure that the platter runs ultra-silently.

EVO CC Tonearm Tube & Wiring

The EVO CC tonearm tube is made from a single piece of carbon fiber- a material that’s both strong & light. If you look closely, you can see that the arm tube has a conical shape, meaning its diameter is tapered toward the cartridge & head shell. This design avoids standing wave reflections. The arm tube is fixed by a single screw that allows for easy azimuth adjustment. The inner wiring is flexible, high-purity copper- a great conductor for the low-level phono signal. Each lead wire is fitted with a gold-plated cartridge connector clip.
