Kimber Kable

In the mid-1970s, Ray Kimber, working at a sound and lighting company in Los Angeles, faced noise interference in discotheques due to the proximity of lighting systems to speaker cables. Initially, encasing the cables in steel conduits reduced noise but also negatively affected audio fidelity. Ray then developed a solution using counter-rotating sets of conductors, which canceled magnetic interaction and reduced noise without needing a conduit. This not only eliminated noise but also improved audio quality. Inspired by this success, Ray founded Kimber Kable, refining and expanding his cable designs to enhance audio systems significantly.
